Community Group Activities
This spring and summer, we are offering one group activity each month in the community to give all children in our program an opportunity to interact with other children. This group also provides parents an opportunity to meet and socialize with other parents. Your sign-up for all group activities is required. Please call us to sign up your family members no later than the week before the group activity at 867-3396.

June is...
National Safety Month &
National Aquarium and Zoo Month
Remember to protect yourself and your children from the sun:
- Wear Hats
- Put on Sun Screen frequently all over your body. Put it on young children every hour.
- Wear shirts and pants.
Put on sunscreen before dressing and then put more on exposed areas of skin often.
- Remember, you can still get sunburned when you wear light colored, thin clothing.
- Also, remember that the sun’s rays go through windows, so you can get sunburned sitting by a window in your house or inside your car.
The Rio Grande Zoo and Aquarium are great places to take your children.
Have fun and keep them safe. Children can learn the names of animals and the sounds they make. Talk about big and little animals. Look at what the animals eat. Talk about how the animals move (jump, climb, walk, run, swim). At the aquarium children learn to use their eyes to watch the fish swim. On the outside grassy areas, children can practice walking and running.
